Prof. Aristeidis (Aris) Koutroulis is an Associate Professor of Applied Hydrology and Hydraulics at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. He is the Director of the Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory, a research group working on hydrological modelling, hydroclimatic extremes, climate-change impacts, and water-resources management. He has led and participated in several national and international research and innovation projects in the broader field of geosciences. His research has contributed to the scientific evidence underpinning the IPCC Special Reports on Global Warming of 1.5°C and Climate Change and Land, as well as the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report on Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability. He was a Contributing Author to the Water Chapter of Working Group II of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report and a Lead Author of the Water Chapter of the First Mediterranean Assessment Report produced by the MedECC community. He is also included among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in Environmental Engineering since 2019 according to the science-wide databases of standardized citation indicators. He serves as an Associate Editor of the journal Climate Services, covering hydroclimatology, environmental hydraulics, hydrological extremes, climate-change impacts and adaptation, and water resources. He is also a member of the SDG Assessment Core Group of the Sustainable Water Future Programme and contributes to the Global Water Sector of the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISIMIP). His teaching spans hydraulics, hydrology, water-resources engineering, and climate-change impact assessment.

Dr. Grillakis is a researcher and Laboratory Teaching Staff (LTS) at the Technical University of Crete, specialising in hydrology, water resources management, and drought assessment and modelling.

Mikaela has a degree in Environmental Engineering (MEng) from the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and currently is a PhD Researcher at the Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory, Technical University of Crete (TUC).

Athanasios has a degree in Environmental Engineering (MEng) from the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and a degree in Machine Learning and Data Science (MSc) from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, of the Technical University of Crete and currently is a PhD Researcher at the Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory, Technical University of Crete (TUC).
